Chris' Corner: Alliston Farmer's Market on Mill Street

Alliston Farmer's Market on Mill Street

More "opportunity time" this morning, and as you might know, if I happen to be near Alliston on a Saturday morning, I will stop by the local farmer's market.

So this morning, in spite of the, at times, torrential rains, guess where I was?

Helen had put in her order, and I picked up six bagels, still warm from the oven, a couple of strudels, and a spicy beef patty.  Our order from the Harvest Share program has us stocked for fruit and vegetables for the week, so I passed on their fine produce.

If you happen to be near Alliston from 8 am until 2 pm, drop by the Alliston Farmer's Market located on Mill St. north of Victoria St.  Other offerings include Cat treats and Candles.

Hi Chris,

I did'nt know they grew sweet treats on the farm up there in Canada. LOL

I am definetly living in the wrong part of North America.

I have heard of these places but not seen on to date. Nice post.

Have a great day in South Simcoe, Cananda.

Best, Clint McKie

Howdy and evening Chris

Chris my friend, your outstanding photos sure do let folks see some of the mighty fine items, that they will find at the Alliston Farmer's Market to buy and enjoy. Shoping at a Farmer's Market sure does show folks want to show support to their local Farmers, plus to help keep their money working for their local communities.

I'm sorry for getting by so late, my lady and I were at the Ranch we are going to buy, working on and out some of the details.

Have a good one

Laura, they were still warm, definitely the best bagels within reasonable travelling distance...

Clint, Ro has a store across the road (where he does the baking) and also grills a mean back bacom sandwich here.
