Chris' Corner: November is going out like a LION!

November is going out like a LION!

If you live in South Simcoe, you remember "Snowmageddon" (a term I "borrowed" from my friend, Anya Emond who described the snow that was falling last December 6th and 7th in Tottenham).

Yesterday it rained heavy, all day... and as much as no one liked the weather, we were grateful the precipitation was not falling as snow or worse, freezing rain.
First Snow
Well, the temperature dropped overnight and we have an accumulation of the "white stuff".  Now I like a little of the white stuff, a dusting makes me feel all "Christmassy".  But I would really prefer not to have a repeat of last December's Snowmageddon.

Chris - the white stuff missed us but when I came in last night I told my husband but for a few degrees we would most likely have had a foot or two.  North wind blowing a gale and almost ripped my car door off!  Lots of flooding due to the leaves still coming down and filling the street gutters.

Your snow is pretty tho!

Susan, If yesterday was snow we would have had feet also... we are so water-logged here.  You live in such a pretty area, even without the snow =)

Chris, the river and the lake looked sooooo grey and cold this morning, I think snow and ice would have looked cozier!

Love that term snowmageddon Chris. But don't want to see it this year.....this little dusting won't last it should be sunny skies tomorrow!

We don't get vey much snow in our area of The Texas Hill Country. It's a real treat when we do get a little white stuff.

Susan, we bought a wood pellet stove to augment our heating last summer.  It creates a very gentle warmth... it would be great to look at the lake from the warmth by the stove

Carl and Ceil, I love our weather, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't appreciate an escape every once in a while
