Whether you live in Ontario, elsewhere in Canada, in the United States, or elsewhere in the World, join in the crusade and Pledge to reduce your electronic waste by:
- Selling it - Your best option if have replaced something electronic that is still usable
- Gifting it - Another great option, allow someone who will use your old electronics the opportunity
- Donating it - Allow a charity or another good cause to benefit and provide your older operational electronics
- Recycling it - the last "good" option, if your electronics cannot be re-used in its entirety, allow its components to be recycled.
I was the 4,176th person to sign this pledge, and I will make a conscious effort to Sell/Gift/Donate or Recycle any electronics that I use in my home or in my work. Join the Pledge Here!
I want to do "MORE", so I am also trying to "Spread the Word"
If you are thinking of hosting a Fundraising Event in Ontario, Consider Recycling Electronics, for every tonne of electronic that are collected, recycleyourelectronics.ca will give you between $185 and $235. For more information, click here

This sounds like a great idea no matter where you live we can all do our part to reduce electronic waste.
Excellent post. Many of us need to get rid of old equipment that will never again be used.
Pat, rarely is the "conventient" thing (throwing a replaced electronic item) away the best option.
Great Al and Peggy, this is another situation where, if we just tool a second and thought about it, we could probably help save the planet and our neighbours...
Roy, especially if this equipment is still usable... else recycle it!
