Chris' Corner: Laura Berry in person!

Laura Berry in person!

Laura Berry, born in Scarborough, is a local water colour artist living in Mansfield with a gallery in Hockley Valley.
reflections
I first happened upon one of her works at a charity silent auction about nine years ago, Helen and I won a signed Laura Berry print that we liked enough to bid on.

shoreline
I feel she manages to capture the spirit of life in Ontario in many of her works.
School Day
If you would like to meet Laura, she will be at the Laura Berry Gallery, beside the general store in Hockley Village on October 1st,2nd,8th,9th & 10th between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Link to Google Map of Laura's Galllery.

show and tell
Why not take a beautiful fall drive into the country northwest of the GTA and make her gallery a destination.  Perhaps she can personalize a work of art, or have her create one for you!  Bring a picture of your home, a favourite family picture, or retreat and commission her to create an original work of art for you.

For inspiration, check out some of her exclusive customized artwork, it would make a truly unique heirloom gift!

Visit her website for more information or to purchase one of her works.

Chris, her paintings do seem to have a very Ontario feel to them. How lucky for you and Helen to have won one of her paintings with a bid. I'm sure it's a family treasure now.

Malcolm, I wasn't sure how to describe her work... Canadian seemed to broad... Ontario fit
