As I mentioned earlier, one of our "rituals" when we visit our Cottage on Sturgeon Lake is our trip to Kawartha Dairy in Bobcaygeon.
We took the "long way" in by the Lake (first time in years as a bridge being rebuilt was finally open to the public), and arrived at out destination. The clouds and intermittent rain could not dampen out spirit, we were THERE!
Helen ended up choosing a small cup of Black Raspberry Thunder and Blueberry Cheesecake, Vi chose Creme Brulee and Death by Chocolate, and I waxed nostalgic choosing Rum & Raisin and Pralines & Cream. Alec had a scoop of Mango & Peach frozen yogourt in a waffle cone (Alec prefers the cone to the ice cream).
The portion size in Bobcaygeon is decadent. It is hard to imagine anyone, except maybe teenagers, having anything larger than a "small" cone or cup.
