As a general rule, we Canadian are never happy with our weather...
When it is cold, we want warmth.
When it is raining, we want sunshine.
When it is warm, we want cool.
If it has been sunny, we feel we need rain...
In keeping, after the hot spell we have had of late, you would think I would have welcomed this cool, almost fall-like crisp morning. The temperature outside was 12 degrees C, or 50 F earlier this morning.
It feels a little warmer out in the sun, but I would still like it a tad warmer...
Warmer weather just seems the ideal time to Pay it forward today at the local DQ. It's all good, I can enjoy a chocolate cherry blizzard in any weather ;-)
It is just after 11:00 am, and I just came back from my local DQ, where I bought my medium chocolate cherry blizzard (my indulgence for today) and left a gift card with instructions for staff to give blizzards to children who come in with their parents today (with their parents permission, of course). My wife and son will be heading to Alliston later this afternoon, and will visit the Alliston DQ and have a blizzard (or two) comforted by the knowledge that money from the proceeds of these purchases will benefit our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Sick Kids Foundation in Toronto. We will be helping our community.
Want more information on how you can help Children's Miracle Network hospitals in your area today? See my Miracle Treat Post for more information.

Hi Chris,
great Pay it forward story, and visiting DQ is always a good plan in any event.
Enjoy your daily indulgence, and live a Pfanntastic Life.
Peter and Linda, perhaps the both of you could "sacrifice" in order to support the Children's Miracle Network today =)
Very nice way to give to the little ones Chris! Treat and get treated!
Very nice surprise for some little people on a warm day. I love anonymous pay it forwards
Wanda, and all for the benefit of Sick Kids Foundation, which do wonders for children in Ontario.
Liz, I know most of the staff, and I know they would have meted out the Blizzards where they would be most welcome...
Good afternoon, Chris. Nothing wrong with a DQ Bilzzard. I like the oreo myself...
Hi Chris - It has been a beautiful blue sky day to enjoy a non-weather related Blizzard and support Sick Kids. Sick Kids is an excellent hospital that has provided superior paediatric services for many decades.
Michael, I have never tried the Oreo blizzard, I like oreo cookies, makes sense that I might like an Oreo Blizzard =)
Marc, we could ease our conscience while having a blizzard yesterday knowing we are supporting the Sick Kids foundation ;-)
Valerie, I think we discuss weather even more than politics
