Roaring Auto Sector fuels Real Estate Recovery in South Simcoe, Ontario.
More than 15,000 jobs were added to Canada's Auto Sector in the first half of 2011 as manufacturers bounced back from the deep recession, industry statistics show.
Vehicle and parts manufacturers have increased employment by 13.3% in the first six months of this year in response to an increasing North American demand for vehicles.
With Honda in Alliston, Chrysler in Brampton and secondary manufacturers like Showa in Schomberg and F & P in Tottenham, this resurgence bodes well for the local Real Estate market in many South Simcoe communities such as Tottenham, Beeton, Alliston, Cookstown, as well as rural hamlets such as Rosemont, Everett, Colgan, Lisle and Angus.

Hi Chris,
wow, those are some very impressive employment increase numbers for such a very important industry in all of North America, and this is not just important for the South Simcoe Real Estate Recovery, but it is a very good sign for everybody all acros the continent as it clearly shows that we are in the recovery mode in the Auto Industry (an other leading Industry and economy leading indicator).
Great Stats Chris! We're seeing Recovery Mode in many industries - Whoo Hoo!
The auto sector drives north america, and the revival of it bodes well for real estate in particular and us all in general.
Susan, I am sure you see evidence of this revival on the transportation arteries..
Wow, Chris! What great news for the real estate market in South Sincoe Ontario - when employment goes up, so do prices - time to buy, at the start of your area recovery.
Hi Chris - While it is great news that the numbers are starting to go up, too many many automotive plants have permanently shut down over the past couple of years in Ontario and elsewhere.
Virginia, the creation of good jobs will certainly help
Marc, what troubles me about these shutdowns, it seems that North American carmakers seemed not to consider the quality of the cars manufactured here... and yet it is quality vehicles that are leading the automotive resurgence... perhaps, they are finally learning the lesson.
