This sounds like a great tour! I love historical tours of any kind. This sounds like a fun one. I love the older cemetaries because of their architecture. Thanks for sharing this post.

HI Chris,

I am "dying" to take a tour like that one of these days in Victoria, there are many historial names in our big cemetary, so that could and should be funn....

Great local post thanks for educating us all.

Hi Chris~ Many of us here in Active Rain have confessed we love a walk through the cemetery!

My love for these epic tributes to loved ones began when I was twelve. Whenever I would visit my best friend, we would walk the few blocks to a local cemetery and read headstones, look at flowers and enjoy the shade and serenity of this special place.

Sounds like a good way to spend an afternoon to me!

Have a great weekend...

Ralph, my wife and I also love history, of any kind.  We toured a number of civil war battlefields in Virginia, and loved reading letters back and forth between soldiers and their loved ones.

Peter and Linda, pfanntastic pun ;-)

Judi, there was an old cemetary not far from the home I grew up in... we often walked through reading tombstones during the day and scared ourselves silly during the nights.
