Chris' Corner: Great Bluegrass Festival Weekend coming up!

Great Bluegrass Festival Weekend coming up!

Tottenham is popping... The Bluegrass festival is this weekend.  The early forecast calls for rain possible from late Thursday to early morning Friday, and then calls for a fabulous sunny warm weekend =)

My son's Soccer Pictures were taken at the Tottenham Conservation Area last Saturday, and while there, we met a woman who came one week early to ensure she could have a campsite with electricity.  She told us that they came last year with a baby in tow, and had to survive a campsite without electricity.  This year, with two babies, they were making sure they had electricity.

Events are taking place in Tottenham all week long, If you like or want to experience Bluegrass, mark this weekend on your Calendar.  My previous post, Tottenham's 28th annual Bluegrass Festival, has most of the information you will need.

If you are attending this, or any other outdoor activity this weekend, it would be wise to Be Prepared for the Summer Sun!

Hi Chris~ A Blue Grass Festival sounds like big fun!

I attended a three day festival on the Shenandoah River in West Virginia many long years ago. It was a wonderful event featuring The Earl Scruggs Review and Scarlet Rivera. I didn't know anything about blue grass when I went, but boy was that fun!

Thanks for the long lost reminder of a very good time!

Wow, bluegrass must have a really loyal following if there are people willing to come a week early to get a good spot. I love summer festivals and I do love bluegrass music, but i can't claim to have that level of enthusiasm Chris. Lets hope it's a nice weekend for all the festival ettendees.

Judi, Bluegrass is good for the soul.  We, too, have vacationed in West Virginia a number or times, in the interior and on the coast

Malcolm, all the campsites with electricity were booked and occupied as of Monday, to reserve them for the weekend.  This event attracts people from all across North America, and it looks like the weather will be great!
