Chris' Corner: When choosing your Realtor, Does the Brokerage Matter?

When choosing your Realtor, Does the Brokerage Matter?

Danielle Germick, a fellow active rain blogger and RE/MAX realtor from Fayetteville North Carolina, posted this informational blog recently on choosing a brokerage.  Interview your agent, and select the person whom you feel has the professional knowledge, tools, marketing plan, negotiating skills and work ethic to properly market your home and represent you in the Real Estate transaction, but definitely ALSO consider the brokerage, also consider brand recognition, market penetration, the hours they keep, their admistrative services, ease of access and whatever other factors you feel are important to you...

Does the brokerage matter?

I didn't think it did, until I saw that it did! YES, the firm in which your agent works for does matter. Companies have brand awareness and recognition.

Re/max ‘sells more real estate'! We do! If you look at my small firms numbers and see how many agents are selling the numbers that we are, you will see that this holds a fair amount of weight!

When choosing among Fayetteville Realtors to list your home for sale, consider the Brokerage with whom they affiliate. I am supported by excellent administrative staff, innovative marketing personnel and a dynamic broker owner.

That's funny. I must be old school. I thought whack means like appalling or unconventional.
