Chris' Corner: Subway is doing it again!!! Free Breakfast May 31st!

Subway is doing it again!!! Free Breakfast May 31st!

My Family and I were in Niagara Falls when I heard that Subway was having a Customer Appreciation Day last August (in Canada - not sure if the event was extended to the U.S.) and I wrote a blog about it.

Subway Canada Customer Appreciation Event

Free Breakfast at Subway in Niagara Falls, Canada

Well, it looks like they are doing it again. Subway Canada is offering free breakfast sandwiches on May 31st, 2011. If you happen to be nearby, why don't you try one of their breakfast sandwiches?

Last August was the first time that I had tried one, and it opened up another alternative to McDonald's and Tim Horton's for me. I like the fact that you can add veggies to the sandwich. The other thing that we have done on occasion is to order the foot-long breakfast sandwich and have them cut it into three pieces, making it a breakfast for Alec, Helen and I. On my own, I will normally add lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onions, and both types of olives, and if I am in the mood, some banana peppers...

There is a very good chance you will see me at the Subway in Tottenham (located at 81 Queen St. S, Tottenham) or either of the Subways in Alliston (36 Young St., Alliston in the west end or in the Walmart plaza in the east end of Alliston) next Tuesday May 31st. Perhaps you to, will find your way to your local Subways for breakfast =)

If these locations are not convenient for you, visit their website to find a subway location near you.

I have heard Subway's breakfast sandwiches were good... FREE sounds good too Chris! Enjoy!

Enjoy your breakfast sandwich -- FREE is good.  I don't remember that happening here in Hendersonville NC but I do remember when Denny's did something similar.  It was like a huge traffic jam of people lined up waiting to get in!

I also remember the Colonels new roasted chicken on the menu fiasco as Kentucky Fried franchises weren't prepared for it.

Scott, There seems to be a breakfast war brewing between Tim Hortons (a very successful Canadian chain), McDonalds and Subways and it seems we are the temporary victors =)

Wanda, I prefer their breakfast sandwiches to any other fast food chain... but getting in and out of a Subways isn't always as convenient as the other chains

Sue, free is always good, McDonalds has offered free coffee and even a free breakfast sandwich in the past, Subway is still a distant third in sales, though not in quality...

Thanks for blogging this Chris, I know where I'll be getting my breakfast on May 31.  I enjoy many of Subway's offerings, they are one of the first fast food places to make an effort to offer healthy choices.

Hi Chris - I have had Subway's breakfast sandwiches a couple of times.  Your Subway restaurants are not very convenient but there are some good local ones.  I will need to remember to go on May 31.

I have never been to Subway for breakfast. Maybe I'll try it.

Malcolm, I agree with you, Subway gives you healthy choices for a quick meal

Marc, perhaps Tottenham and Alliston are not so convenient to you ;-)

but I am sure there are a few in Markham

Brian, next tuesday, the price will be right =)

Valerie, adding the veggies make it a healthier and more filling offering than the breakfast sandwiches offered by some of the fast food competition.
