We participate in a CSA program in our area.  Every week we get a fresh box of seasonal veggies and once a month we pick up a mixed organic meat box at our local year round farmers market.

Cindy, I have not done this before, but it seems like a great idea.  We are investigating it.

Michael, I am going to grow vegetables and some fruit this year, and try to buy the rest from local farmer's markets, taking another page from your book =)

That sounds like the next best thing to being able to grow your own vegetables Chris. I like the idea of supporting local businesses that are concerned with the environment.
