Our 15th Decennial Census started May 2nd!

Canada's 15th decennial (every tenth year) national census started yesterday, May 2nd, 2011 and every Canadian Household will have received or be receiving a yellow census package. Census reference day is May 10, and counting activities will cease on July 29th, 2011.

The mandatory long form questionnaire has been replaced with a voluntary version, which can be filled out and submitted online or on paper.

Good data is vital to research, public policy and social programs.

Do your part, complete your census form and give our government the information it needs to secure our futures.

Results should be available in 2012

Our population is predicted to be almost 34 million people!
